We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Niamh Ni Mhurchu as Joint Managing Partner with John Kelly. Niamh was one of the founding Partners of Callan Tansey, Solicitors in 2008 and is a Partner in the Medical Negligence Unit, she is based primarily in the Sligo office but works one day a week in the Dublin office.
She has a keen interest in helping women who have suffered as a result of medical negligence at any stage of their lives but especially during pregnancy, at childbirth, postpartum and during peri-menopause.
Niamh has built a fantastic support Team around her who share her passion for excellence and client care.
Niamh describes herself as a people person with a listening ear for all her clients.
As a mother of four, she can readily identify with the struggles of women who find themselves in a difficult predicament following a medical procedure. “All too often women suffer in silence and find it difficult to discuss the most intimate areas of their life with a stranger. This takes an enormous toll on every aspect of their lives.”
Niamh encourages her clients to be proactive and seek the assistance they need to improve their outcome and move on with their lives.
Whilst Niamh has a reputation as a tough Negotiator and will fight relentlessly for her clients, Niamh appreciates the trauma that people go through facing a Court room battle and is a huge advocate of alternative dispute resolution.
