A series of alarming medical cases are in the news today; the death of a 91 year old woman with large and infected bedsores, consultants concerns for patients at Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan and the tragic case of 21 year old Louise Butler from Sixmilebridge in Country Clare.  She died from a massive brain haemorrhage at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick in 2006, a month after she was mistakenly diagnosed with a migraine. A CT scan which could have diagnosed the condition and was demanded by her family was not carried out in time and they have urg4ed all parents to stand up for their rights.

The solicitor who represented the Butler family is Roger Murray of Callan-Tansey Solicitors in Sligo and he joined Pat this morning.
