Scarlett, a native of South Galway, and now based in our Limerick office, is a Solicitor in the firm’s medical negligence department.

After completing her undergraduate degree in UCC, Scarlett graduated with an LLB from UL in 2004 and received the Presidential Medal. She then pursued a ‘stage’ with the European Commission in Brussels with DG ECHO. Scarlett then trained with now Callan Tansey Solicitors and qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and worked in the offices of Callan Tansey post qualification. A fluent French speaker, she moved to France for a period with her husband as he pursued his career in professional rugby. Whilst there, she continued to work in the field of law. After her return to Ireland, Scarlett continued to practice as a solicitor in a law firm in Kerry for several years. In 2016 she completed her LLM at UCC.

Scarlett rejoins the practice as a Senior Associate. She has a wealth of experience in Personal Injuries Litigation and has a particular interest in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Medical Negligence Claims. She represents families at inquests and in wrongful death actions. Scarlett also represents clients who formed part of the South Kerry CAMHS review.

She also advises clients in civil actions in relation to historic child abuse and sexual assault claims.

Scarlett is an excellent advocate and believes that everyone should have access to justice.

She also has strong ties to both Munster and Connacht.

Scarlett played camogie at underage level with her local GAA club in Kinvara and hockey with her local secondary school where they won several Connacht titles. Scarlett married into a family with strong rugby and Gaelic football connections which has continued with her own children.

Scarlett is based in our Limerick office but is also available for appointments and enquiries in Kerry.
